is the bachelor/bachelorette show real?

It's real in the sense that unknown people get on tv, and travel here and there in their search for the perfect mate.  There are parts, though, that definitely seem scripted, such as when people who were sent home suddenly reappear. That's for drama.  Or when the "villain" who has no chance of winning, also remains on the show.  It's all for ratings.

Is it full of real skanks? Yes

Just like every other "reality" show.....fake fake fake. Faker than Joe Biden's election night victory

It's about as real as the little green men from Mars.  The producers have a storyline and stage events for drama purposes.  

All reality shows are basically this:  "Amateur Improv".

The purpose of The Bachelor (and all TV programming) is to deliver eyeballs to advertisers.  It is NOT to find anyone "true love".  That's an ancillary benefit to the participants.
