From the US and I doxxed someone who lives in Australia. Am I in trouble?
So there was this dude, who runs a facebook group based out of Australia. He was bothering me and many people I know and making verbally abusive and demeaning remarks towards them.
So i found out where he lives (and it's in Australia). And just posted a google earth image of his front door. That was it. And told him that every time he made remarks like that then I would forward his information to those he attacks.
He then went and filed an iC3 complaint with the FBI about it.
First off, I haven't forwarded any official word by word info of his yet. And second, what jurisdiction would I be under in this case? Because this is a person outside the country we're talking about here!!
The local police came and knocked on my door. I didn't answer it. They left their stupid card. This was about a week ago and they haven't been back since. Praise the Lord we live in a country where you don't have to talk to the police without a warrant.

You threatened him. That's illegal.
Since the FBI is busy, they'll probably just give you a warning.

You could actually be charged under the anti- stalking laws we have in Australia.

You are subject to US laws on the issue. You are also a LIAR. If you actually knew HOW to dox someone, the LAST thing you would do is ask this question.

Doxxing someone can get both them and their family killed. So, you'll have to lawyer-up and face the consequences for endangering lives.

What you did is called blackmail and it is a crime.
You would not like it if he were to send out your address to the people you may upset on Facebook.
It is an invasion of privacy and there is a real possibility that you could or would be prosecuted.
