The Judaism section was very active before it was removed and I think there were sections for Islam and Hinduism too. Search YA for "Judaism" and you will see how there have been no new questions asked since the section was removed. The current format is conducive only to Christians and atheists. It shouldn't be that way. There should be a subsection for every large religion.

I am not aware that the US version of YA ever had a subcategory for a specific religion, and if there was one a decade or so ago and it no longer exists, the chances are that it was removed due to lack of activity.

To have a Judaism subcategory would mean there should also be subcategories for Christianity, Buddhism, Paganism, and Islam (at least). It might be nice for users who prefer to focus on a specific subcategory of religion, but would be several lower activity subcategories instead of one very active one. For a very long time, Muslim users would use the Ramaadan subcategory (under Holidays) to discuss their religion in general. Perhaps the Jewish users are doing something similar (i.e., Yom Kippur under Holidays).

No subcategories have been added or removed from the site in more years that I can remember. There are scores of dead subcategories that should've been gone LONG ago.
