What does collagen taste like?
Given that, to the uninitiated, it sounds like both a medicine and a panacea, please excuse my trepidation in the matter.

collagen is an ensemble of various proteins or also any tissue made up of those proteins; soft cartilages, tendons, ligaments, muscles fascia and scar tissue are examples of collagen; like any other protein, it can't be absorbed by the body, neither by digestive system nor by skin, it can be partly digested, but not very much, and when digested, the digested and absorbed material are peptides or amino acids, not the collagen proteins anymore, in fact, many collagen powder supplements are actually hydrolyzed peptides derived from digested collagen, not real collagen, and it tastes slightly bitter with a moldy wood scent; the only nutritional difference, in the hypothesis that it would be hydrolyzed enought to be digested and absorbed, would be that collagen is made up of about 25% glycine, an amino acid that is rare in any other food; glycine supplements also exist.

That's like asking, "What does protein taste like." Collagen isn't a substance that you can sample like ice cream. It's cellular component of bone, connective tissue and cartilage.
