or "smell blindness" -- is a condition which is thought to affect around 5% of the population. ... But with loss of smell and/or taste two of the recognized symptoms of Covid-19, this previously little-known condition has come under the global spotlight.

I’ve watched several series of Hells Kitchen and been surprised by the number of chefs in there who smoke. Smoking is one of the worst things you can do to loose your taste.

My cousin is married to a chef that has no taste in women. Is that close enough?

COVID seems to have the ability to ruin ones taste buds, so I think there will be a few that can no longer taste. But professional lines in a kitchen, just give it to the Sous Chef for His opinion if that happens.

I watched an episode of 'Freaky Eaters' where a British chef would only eat cookies. He never tasted any of the food he made because anything but cookies would make him gag and barf. He was ok with making it all, and apparently he was a very good chef, he just couldn't eat any of it to see what it tasted like.
