Have you ever heard of a race faster than Formula 1?

Because of the design of circuits , F1 cars are designed with acceleration and cornering speed above outright top speed.

Indie cars racing in mainly oval circuits have higher top speeds but would be hopeless on any F1 circuit.

Speeds at Le Mans are also way above F1 because the track is mainly long straights.

IndyCars have the highest recorded speed and a higher average speed tha formula 1 cars but Formula 1 cars accelerate much quicker.

Pretty sure jet pilots have probably had some friendly races while training. 

Speed around corners, F1 is quickest. Speed on straights, NASCAR and Indycar I believe quicker but they are designed to go around ovals. Give F1 designers the requirement to go round ovals, they will produce a quicker car.

WRC cars will smoke all of them over gravel or mud.

So depends on what you class as quick. Quick on straights and tarmac, quick on tarmac round corners, quick on different surfaces etc

F1 cars will top out @ ~220mph, reaching 60mph in ~2.5 seconds. 

MotoGP bikes have similar performance, but the F1 car reaches its top speed sooner so should be able to beat the bike in the long run.

IndyCars will, on a very long straight, leave both of these behind as their top speed exceeds 230mph but with a woeful 0-60 time of 3 seconds they need time to catch up and pass.

All of these are made to look pedestrian when the top fuel dragsters make an appearance. With top speeds in excess of 330mph and 0-60 times below 0.5 seconds, these will be a 1/4 mile in the distance while the others have barely left the start line.

Admittedly, they'll all catch up after that 1/4 mile when then dragster needs refuelling, and if there's anything vaguely resembling a curve in the track the dragster may need some manual assistance to get round... But if it's absolute speed you're after (and some pant-wobbling sound effects, sadly missing from F1 nowadays), top fuel drag racing is the way to go.
