Is it true that the Fleetwood Mac song 'Dreams' was re-recorded by The Cranberries with totally different music and lyrics?

Not that I know of, but The Corrs released a cover of it back in the late Nineties.

No, they both have songs called Dreams, but it's not a re-recording.

That would be impossible - if it had “totally different” music and lyrics then it wouldn't be the same song.

If it is totally different then it is not the same song re-recorded, it just

a new song with the same name.   It is not Fleetwood Mac song Dreams, it

was just a new song by the Cranberries with the same names.

This has happen a lot in the past such

They are at least  3 pairs of song alone with the word "Don't" in them.

Don't Let Down by the Beatles

Don't Let Down by the Chainsmokers

Don't Bring Me Down by the Animals

Don't Bring Me Down by  Electric Light Orchestra

Big Girls Don't  Cry  by  Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons

Big Girls Don't Cry by Fergie
