Why is Instagram so stupid and pointless? Should I stop using it?
Ok so I have like a 1,000 followers on Instagram and I posted a picture of myself. A few hours went by and I only received 4 likes on my pictures and I’m like wait a minute that’s bull crap! I have 1,000 followers how am I only getting 4 likes on a picture??? So I figured out the reason why. It was because of Instagram’s stupid algorithms and Instagram doesn’t show ALL people my pictures and like that’s so stupid! What is the point in even posting pictures online if more than half of your followers are not going to see them and what’s the point in following people if you know that you are not going to see ALL of the new pictures they post??? So after figuring out that dumb issue with Instagram’s algorithm, I literally had to spend about an hour liking a picture of ALL 1,000 followers just to get all of them to notice and I only received an additional 30 likes back the next day on that one picture I posted? So why couldn’t Instagram do something like this for me and everybody else using this app? Should I really consider deleting it then if it’s going to be that stupid and pointless???

It's because of changes in their algorithm. Organic reach in instagram is decreasing day by day. And why do you care about likes so much. Just post your pictures and explore others content.

Most likely if you're not famous or don't have at least 10,000 followers, you won't get much likes because most of the people who follow you are looking at the popular people or celebrities instagram profiles. Instagram isn't pointless, because people can actually protest through instagram. We actually can gain rights from it. Its not all about chatting with people and getting likes and followers. With 1k followers, I would just be thankful that 1000 people followed me, and not care about likes.

The reason why I hate IG too is Hashtaggery. Like really, how long did it take you write out 59 hashtags? I can think of SO many other things I would want to do with my time. Like eat pizza. Or play with my dog. Or watch porn. Or watch paint dry. Because all of those sound 10x more interesting than reading your countless hashtags to get followers. People who commit hashtaggery are so obnoxious because they are just trying to gain followers. News flash, having a lot of followers doesn’t make you a better person. It makes you an insecure ***** who has to post selfies with a song lyric or inspirational quote that has absolutely NOTHING to do with the picture. I admit it, I post selfies. All women do but you are only allowed 2-3 a month. And that is all or else you are just self-centered and need random strangers to make you feel better. Pass.
