Lobster comes from New England, and Chinese food comes from the Canadian Maritimes. Did you know that?

We have lobsters over here in [old] England as well. it is rather expensive but it is caught at many places on England's south coast from Cornwall to Kent., including at Hastings in Sussex, less than 2 miles from my home. Chinese food is influenced by recipes from China, but that sold in the west will not likely be authentic.

Wrong. Some AMERICAN lobsters comes from the coastal area of New England, but that is only 1 specie of lobsters. There are even lobsters in California.  Lobsters are found in all the oceans of the world and not just along the Atlantic shores off New England. There are over 80 species of lobsters and several of those species can be found from the northern coasts of China all the way down to Vietnam.

Not always. There are also warm water lobster from Florida and then there's Chinese food. Chinese restaurateurs are ingenious in adapting traditional Chinese sauces and cooking methods to locally sourced ingredients. Also, local tastes are assessed and catered to. I lived for several years in a town in Oklahoma where the leading Chinese restaurant's best selling menu item was a fried chicken sandwich. It was actually a chicken quarter, battered and deep fried, served between two slices of bread, accompanied by a house salad. Not that Chinese, but a big hit with the locals.

I ate at a Chinese restaurant in Paris called Vapours. Everything on the menu was steamed, most in dumpling dough.

I've eaten what I was told was authentic Chinese in San Francisco, and frankly didn't care for it.

Lobster comes from New England. I live in New England, and this is news to me.

OMG, even for a troll you are pathetic at this. But, since I am from the Canadian Maritimes, I am going to look more closely for the Chinese restaurants since you recommend them. I love that stuff.
