Why have I not contracted Covid?

So I’m a 20 year old male. I’ve never had Covid at least that I know of. I first was exposed when a customer sneezed in my face without a mask. Two days later he was diagnosed with Covid I did have a mask on myself. A month or so later I was smoking with two friends in a car passing around vapes and smoking pieces between us. At the time my friend said his chest was hurting which is pretty normal for us daily smokers so we didn’t think much of it and he was coughing more than usual. Later that night he developed a fever and the next day tested positive for Covid 19. A month or so after that my girlfriend developed a sore throat. Then a severe headache and low grade fever. She then got tested and tested positive for Covid 19. Throughout the whole time she had the virus we were doing intimate things as a couple would do. After all these times I’ve waited 6 days to test as advised by my primary care physician. Every time my test has come up negative and I have not felt a single symptom. I just find this very interesting and am wondering if any doctors have any insight as to why I have not developed the virus?

  • If you keep yourself from getting it then you shouldn't contract covid.

The virus may not have came from you, these people could have contracted it from some one else. But you can also have covid and not have any signs or symptoms of it. I haven't contracted it yet either, I'm over 20 years older then you. But then I haven't put my self at risk of getting it.

Even when a majority of a population has no immunity to something, there will usually be a few people who actually do have some level of  immunity to whatever that thing is.

There have been people who get COVID but never show symptoms of it.  They test positive, but have no sign of having it.  It is call being "asymptomatic".  It means you catch it, but it doesn't do anything to you.  It is possible that you had COVID at a time you didn't test because you didn't realize you had been exposed at that time.

A recent article in the Wall Street Journal by a respected surgeon (Surgeon General nominee) says that 55% of the population has natural immunity to covid (we always have).

A study by Boston University says that 54% of people who have adequate levels of vitamin D will not get covid (a study in Germany says that people who have low levels of vitamin D have a 14X more likely chance of dying).

People who are blood type O are less likely to get covid.

Maybe you have a good immune system. It’s also possible you had covid already at some point and just had an asymptomatic case. You could have had it at a time when you didn’t get tested, or the test could have been wrong. Some of those tests are not totally accurate. Or maybe you just got lucky.

Maybe you just have a really good immune system.

Maybe your hygiene is better than you think.

    Maybe you are just lucky.

You are probably Asymptomatic which means your carrying the virus but show no symptoms.
