Do you think driving or having a job defines you as a person?

    Driving makes having a job much easer and being self sufficient does define you as a person.

    If you live in a place with great public transportation options you don't necessarily have to learn to drive. But you do have to have a way of making money. Even the very wealthy who don't need the cash tend to take jobs of a sort just to stay sane and motivated in life. Not contributing to the world if you're capable of doing so is just lazy and pointless.

    It depends on how critical a drivers license and financial independence are to your life goals.  If your situation is such that you don't need those things to be happy then it isn't really important what other people think.  

    Baron Trump is the son of the 45th President and heir to a massive fortune.  It is unlikely that getting a driver's license or job defines him in any way or that he would care whether or not it did.
