What does this mean ?

What does it mean when a person is your friend only when it’s convenient for them?

    It means.. they are only your friend when they need you for something.. that something could be. someone to talk to, someone to share the food bill with or someone who can give them something when they want it.. but when it comes your turn to ask for a favor or need someone to talk to, this person would be busy and would not be there for you.. hence.. convenient for them...

    It means if you have someone in your life that is like that then you are being used and you need to get rid of them.
