My spring break has sucked and I want a piercing to feel better. How can I convince my mom? ?

I've been pierced before and know how to care for them. I'd also be the one paying and everything. I would just dye my hair but she absolutely refuses to let me.

Update:

This is something I've wanted for over a year and a half. I figured with the week I've had it'd be a good time to do it.

Still can’t figure out what a bad spring break has to do with getting a piercing.

The privilege of defacing your body with a tramp stamp is denied until you are 18. Until then, believe me and many others, you have to wait. By then you may have come to your senses or have entered an entirely new phase in your beliefs and how to express them through your body image.

Or are piercings, tattoos and dying your hair all you think or feel about?

When you're 18 you can dye your hair & get as many piercing as you want. Hold on!

You are a child and do not get to make this decision.

Ask your mom nicely.  If she says no, accept her answer and move on.

Plan to get pierced and color your hair whatever colors you want when you turn 18 and can financially support yourself.

Poor baby. Perhaps you should ask for a new car and unlimited use of your family vacation home.

hmm thats a tricky one. I just got a belly button piercing yesterday. Maybe you could tell her you would cover it when she wanted you to and it wouldn't be very extreme. maybe you could pay for it yourself? or maybe if it's a piercing you can take in and out you could tell her it wouldn't have to be permanent. I don't know hope that helps.

Oh - that's the best reason I ever heard to get a piercing - not.  Maybe you should also get some tattoos to remind you of the bad time you had.  ROFLMAO

Listen to your mother.  Mutilating your body won't make you feel any better.  Maybe try some exercise instead.  That's way better for body and mind.
