When will the big four be challenged ?

Tennis big four Murray Federal Nadal and Djokovic continue to dominate especially the grand slams, when will the wannabes like zvera, titipas, thiem kyrios etc challenge them

    There are a lot of great young players now.  Sinner and Medvedev are playing great tennis.   This will very likely be one of my last answers on this site.  It has been a lot of fun over the years.  John thank you for asking a great question.  I hope you get a chance to see some of these greats in person someday.  Good Luck!

    Used to be the big 4,

    Not any more

    As other have pointed our, Murray fell way down, to No. 119 from being world number one. Federer is past his prime, in fact he hasn't won a grand slam since early 2018, more then 3 years ago, and at this point it is highly unlikely he will again. 

    I think we are now down to the "big 2", that being Nole and Rafa.

    With the 'big four' basically carrying injuries, the change is happening RIGHT NOW.

    Dominic Thiem has already been in four Grand Slam finals, including winning the 2020 US Open.

    Murray is ranked #119, and Federer is 39 years old.  I don't think either of them quite belong in that group.
