What are your thoughts on lil nas x satan shoes?

My son mentioned that very thing to me the other day, which is the only way I know about them.  It's this new thing called a marketing gag, and it's not a new thing.

Led Zeppelin used occult-y looking symbols instead of their names on the credits for one of their albums, and the parents of their fans went into immediate panic mode.  KISS released a line of comic books, allegedly mixing their own blood with the red ink, and the parents of their fans went into immediate panic mode.  Heavy metal bands from the 60's to just yesterday have adorned their lyrics and album covers with pentagrams, inverted crosses, 666es and devil images... and the parents of their fans went into immediate panic mode.

See the pattern here?  Nothing increases album sales like a little bit of manufactured controversy.  And if this Nas X character has as much talent as most rappers today have, he needs all the controversy he can get.

I think it's a joke and nothing to worry about or give any attention to.  Besides, God created human blood as well as all the materials in the shoe.
