PPP Loan forgiveness scam?
My friend said her and her sister know this guy who got them both $14,000 each
She didn’t even know what it was but she said something about forgiveness and the only thing I can think of is the PPP Loan for small businesses.
Except neither of them have a business and they’re not even sure if it was forgiven. I asked her if she gave him any personal information like her social, she hesitated and said no so I feel like she’s lying.
Idk just seems sketchy and she’s got kids so I hope nothing bad happens.
Does anyone know if there is another loan forgiveness plan they offered or it was it just for businesses?

Do they have student loans? Student loans are being cancelled for some groups, and I've read of students who got notified of forgiveness, but it turned out they weren't eligible. If this is about student loans, they need to check with the lending organization to make sure this is legit.

If the so-called loan came from someone only known as "this guy", it's a scam all right. The loans were for business owners only, and if neither of them has a business and have received the money, they all could be convicted of fraud.
