Is it common to have way more indigestion with alcohol consumption in your 30s?
For me, the high of being drunk is no longer worth the indigestion. I don't remember it being that bad when I was younger, but is that common as you get into your 30s?

Yes. Alcohol erode your stomach.
Our stomach releases hydrochloric acid to digest protein with. Normally, it also secretes mucous to keep the stomach from digesting itself. But when you drink alcohol, you are destroying the protective mucous. So slowly you are digesting your stomach wall and at some point you will get a great big hole in your stomach, with acid eating away at your other internal organs.
Your body is warning you to stop drinking.
Everyone has a different rate of incurring damage from alcohol, and where the damage occurs will vary from one person to another.
But alcohol is a poison, and once your body starts to incur damage from it, your drinking days are over.
