Is beef bourguignon gourmet,.as it is dead cow cooked in cow juice?

If answering please don't compare it to anything in general, just answer about it, to this question about it

    Beef burgundy is "old school" gourmet, like coq au vin. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "cow juice" though. What makes the dish good is the combination of the juices from the meat with the burgundy wine and the spices and thickeners working together to make a nice stew. I'm a "Yank" from Calif.

    Beef Bourguignon is not cooked in cow juice. It is cooked in red wine.

    If you have ever eaten it,you would know that.
