Do you know of any songs that evolve?

I have a hard time finding good music because i hear the beat at the start of the song and its awesome..the next part is usually awesome too.  and then thats it.  30 seconds later that awesome beat repeats and then again and again.  and then the song is over.  Where are the songs like change the beat as the song goes on.  i feel like we are trying to half *** our way through music, and thats not what music really is

Update:

i think my favorite would be War of the Worlds from the 1970s

I'm not sure of what you mean by evolve. Music modulates musically and rhythmically. It all depends on the composer.

The entire Brian Wilson Presents Smile- is a concept album that changes from song to song to make a blend ( It is about a journey east to west across america)

Try this lesser played Zeppelin tune.  Really concentrate on the base and drums.  Those drums were done on a single take and are epic:

"Music" by John Miles would be a classic example of that - it changes progressively all the way through.

Also many albums, such as Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield or Equinoxe and Oxygene by Jean Michel Jarre - they have progressions throughout.

  • that's what progressive music doesn't do   especially some of the EDM and Rock/Metal  music i listen to it's constantly changing  it's rythm/beat, often sounding "off beat" therefore i don't find it repetitive, i find it as the term implies progressive
