does anyone think it's sad that yahoo answers is going away forever?

i have been here since 2006 and long ago it used to be a great community, with nice respectable -knowledgeable people giving helpful answers, most of them left or sadly passed away...compare it to now where the site is over run by halfwitted disgusting generation z - thick as pig sh!t- worthless trolls.

its sad what yahoo answers has become, no longer resembles the place it used to be long ago when we had the green format....that is the place i will truly miss, not the degenerate cesspit it is now with it's trolls.

Not so much yahoo answers per se but the internet itself seems to be changing, and not in a good way.

There is hysteria and paranoia from parents who are terrified what their unsupervised brat might stumble upon online, also pressure from copyright owners, also the Government want more control over what we see and do, so now we are seeing more and more strict censorship.

The wild-west days of the internet are dying. One day it's going to be locked down very tightly and if your opinion doesn't match what the socially-accepted opinion is then it will be deleted. Future internet will suck.

Trolls and such have little bearing on why Yahoo is shutting this down.

The hidden reason is to prevent ANY avenue for patriots to convey messages.

A little bit sad but to be honest its not what it once was.

ALL social media and "forums" merely exist to SELL you things and brainwash you with the propaganda they are pushing.

It's sad and unfortunately a reflection on the evil perpetrated by a government and society run by, and supported by, bad and incompetent people.

I have "reported" literally thousands of troll questions, hate speech comments, lies, and other items that have no place in a legitimate Q&A forum, but Yahoo has decided to not stop these people from demeaning a potentially useful service.

I find it a bit ironic that it is being killed off by as$holes.
