How can we get people to stop littering ?

It's disgusting and disrespectful. I can understand how recycling is hard for some people but can't they at least throw it in a can somewhere? Garbage piled up on the roadside has obviously been chucked out car windows.

Drive up trash drop offs every 1000 ft and free trash and chemical collection
The more expensive and restrictive trash pick up becomes, the more dumping goes on.
When recycling centers and dumps stopped allowing electronics, furniture, mattresses, and hazardous waste,
they began being dumped over the hill where they blocked and poisoned streams so it merely made things worse.
And 90% of littering is done by millenials.
You know the "green" generation.
So it is as always a PARENTING problem.
In MY day kids were taught that littering was a CRIME and they were taught RESPECT for authority.
Today's delinquents were taught ZERO respect for the law and instead taught to oppose all rules and laws.

ZPG      Get them to stop reproducing uncontrollably. Reverse the overpopulation. ZPG           Zero Population Growth  Fewer people = less trash and pollution.

Throw it in a can somewhere... Maybe a solution would be to put a garbage can in high litter areas?
