How long does it take for ear holes to close up?

They're from 20 years ago but they did them way too far up my ear and I've decided i want to redo the piercing

Will they close up? I had them out for 3 months now but they're still there

Your piercing is considered wholly healed when the fistula has completely formed. For ear piercings, this can take up to six months. If you remove your jewelry before the full development of the fistula, you risk the chance of the hole closing up.

It really depends how big they are.  Some have it large enough to stick a cantaloupe through it. Yeah, really big.  This is considered beautiful for that tribe.  They would try for watermelon if they had watermelon. So, how long? Like never for them.

. How close are you to that size? You got to TRY.

Never. Ears pierced 20 years ago are fully scarred over and that hole won't ever "heal."
