Does your college affect getting a job?

Let’s say you major in the same field at a public state university vs. at Princeton University - a private Ivy League college. You also study for the same number of years. How are the job opportunities that you get different? Do employers look at your resume and care about your college?

yes. The college you attend as an undergrad will affect your job opportunities. Usually the higher caliber schools will have a higher quality and quantity of recruiters. This makes it easier to land interviews at quality companies and therefore gives you a higher chance of being hired.

The elite is faking that they took the real vaccine; the real vaccine will cause spiritual and physical damage. When will the official churches start praying for the false prophet? Orthodox Christian three hand signs are different than Buddhist mudras. Ecumenism = 263 heresies; each heresy leads to hell. Orthodoxy = the only true faith; Roman Catholics tried one cup - one spoon ritual and got sick with Bubonic plague; if heresy enters Orthodox monastery then monks/nuns will get sick with flu/tuberculosis (for instance); Orthodox churches who closed for COVID or had disposable cups/spoons or dipped spoon into alcohol are no longer brides of Christ (now they serve Satan and honor Satan's new COVID religion). Don’t go into UFO to be “healed” by evil demons; demons never do good. SSN is written as a barcode/QRcode; then it's put into a chip; chip is put into vaccine; chipped people are influenced (by super computers) to receive grey plastic card World Passport with no name on it (but when they stretch their hands to get it, gov't clerk presses secret button to administer the unforgivable green 666 tattoo by isotope rays). If you reject mark of the beast (by hiding within a 10-15 people group according to saints Gabriel Urgebadze and Seraphim of Sarov), then your direct ancestors go to heaven (according to saint Vyacheslav Krasheninnikov from Ural). First vaccine shuts off your immune system; second vaccine gives you diseases; third vaccine puts your immune system back and it will start fighting the diseases and will cause death. Saint Paisios from Mount Athos said that the devil wants to deceive the rich with freemasonry, poor with communism, and believers with ecumenism. Elpidios Vagianakis said that there will be seven “mark of the beast” vaccines; reject all of them! Documents are from Satan; burn all the documents that you can find. Electronics will be used to track you. Even old broken unplugged 1970 TV set will show the evil flying antichrist using Tesla's ether. Don’t go into UFO to be “healed” by evil demons; demons never do good; always pray the Jesus prayer or to saints who help right away (like saint Vyacheslav Krasheninnikov according to whom if you reject mark of the beast, then your direct ancestors go to heaven); forgive me.

Source(s): Money will be electronic. Gov't will say someone lost their card or it was stolen; now, they have "solution" aka "mark of the beast system"... because no one will steal your hand/forehead. Remember Book of Revelation says: mark of the beast = permanent hell; forgive me.

It depends a little on your field of study and the type of job you're seeking.  In some cases, the school you attend does make a big difference, but in others it really doesn't.  Attending a prestigious school can help with networking, and alumni of schools like Princeton often look out for other alumni.  But ultimately it largely depends on what you do while in college - get good grades, get involved, do internships or research or other such opportunities, etc.

No Only your Ability and Determination doers that

Yes, they care about your college. That's particularly important for your first job. After that, it what you've accomplished in your field that matters.

Anonymous meant to say that after you go to graduate school, your undergraduate school DOESN'T matter any more. That's mostly true. I went to an elite school for my bachelor's and a good state school for the graduate degrees. No one knows or cares where I did my ug work.

BUT I also agree with Anonymous that you can't lump "state schools" together. Many are in the listings of the top universities in the world- U. of Virginia, UNC, UCLA, UC-Berkeley and many more. Penn State has the top philosophy program in the country- possibly in the world. Georgia Tech is a top-rated engineering program. Look at your major, and look up the lists of ranked schools. You may be able to get a top-notch education cheaper. And those schools are just as prized by employers.

Yes.  How much and in what ways depends, in part, on the major and the field into which the student goes for a career.  For example, there are investment banking firms that only recruit from specific schools.  If you don't attend one of those schools, you won't be interviewed no matter what your GPA is. A hiring manager could also have a particularly positive or negative experience or impression of ANY university.

Networking and alumni are the biggest pluses of attending a smaller, more elite university. Princeton alumni are more likely to hire or at least consider Princeton graduates.

It also depends on the reputation of the major.  For example, Georgia Tech, University of Michigan, and UT-Austin  are better choices than most "Ivies" for Astronautical Engineering. MIT still ranks  #1, but it isn't technically in the Ivy League.

Even across public universities there are significant difference in reputation because many of the top public universities are just as selective as private, elite schools.  Boise State isn't going to rate with employers the same as UC Berkeley.

Going to Ivy League schools can help with networking. Your roommate’s mother can be a CEO of a company.

There are many public universities with excellent reputations.  The University of Illinois and Michigan State University undergrad engineering departments are ranked higher than Cornell and Princeton.

And once you get your Masters Degree your undergrad school is that important.

Your resume, your interviewing skills will affect you too. My friend had a good resume from school, was one of their top choices until they had their in person interview amd they completely blew it.

Having a bachelor degree from MIT, Harvard, Princeton surely helps your resume, but you still won’t be a shoe in for a job.
