People who get angry about a stupid answers site shutting down need to get over it. Do they have nothing else going on in their lives?

Really does not affect me. Verizon getting rid of a free service to do other things with those resources is a business decision that makes sense for them. I've used several other discontinued services on Yahoo and other platforms like The Source, CompuServ, Prodigy, AOL, a number of BBSs, and local start up internet providers.

Companies change or get rid of free services/content all the time, often switching from free to paid.

After Yahoo closes down Answers, I will be boycotting Yahoo.

I have never been inclined to use Verizon services to begin with.

I would be less inclined to use Verizon services. I like to support companies that serve MY wants and needs. Y!A is part of that. Take it away and I will less well disposed towards whoever is responsible.
