Mom with a man?

My mom has been with a man for 16 years he has a son is he anything to me or not? They aren’t legally married but been together 16 years

    Not in any legal sense but he may be very like a brother to you emotionally.

    Neither this man nor his son are anything 

    to you (UNLESS he is also your father or 

    related to you in some other manner... but 

    the simple fact that he is dating your mom 

    does not convey any kind of actual filial or 

    other blood relationship).

    Is WHO "anything" to you?  The father?  The son?  The father is your mother's boyfriend.  The son is the child of your mother's boyfriend.
