How  did generations of communism corrupt the Russian people so much that even now they seem unable to function in civilized world?

and are so immoral, unethical and lacking of any semblance of what we over in the West have often described as Judeo Christian western morality and sense of right and wrong.   In short, why are Russian so unethical?

Update:

side note: Russians are the only white people in the history of the world who in thousands of years of known history have never really experienced freedom as in self government. They have always had the boot of an all powerful tyrant boot on their necks.  Quite amazing when you think about it.

Russia was never Communist, it was state capitalist. Communism: a global classless stateless society based on production for use.

Russians on average are more religious than most other European nation groups. But they were only under Communism for about three generations so if what you're saying were true it probably has more to do with the rife deprivations they lived under in the 1990's post USSR than what they experienced during it.

Russians are largely Orthodox Christians. You can't blame this on lack of religion. I think it's just corruption--when every institution and segment of society is corrupt, you can't survive playing by the rules.

Same way that generations of capitalism corrupted the American people so much that even now they seem unable to function in civilized world!
