International Work Experience?
After completing my degree I decided to get one years worth of international work experience in the UK. How would employers in the USA view that experience

Depends what the career area is, and whether the learnings translate.
For example; HR wouldn't be much use, as the employment laws are very different.
(Obviously you'll need to navigate work visas - as a new graduate, you might not be eligible for a visa that would allow you to work in the UK)
