Treating major depression with nothing but a bottle of pills is not a good solution. The experts recommend therapy - often CBT - and healthy lifestyle, sometimes medication. There's a variety of low cost, low risk things that can help with depression and anxiety.

If you go to the Amazon ad for You Are Not Your Brain by psychiatrist Jeffrey Schwartz, you'll see that people with OCD think very highly of this book. You can also hear the testimonials of readers on YouTube. As this article shows, Dr Schwartz developed a therapy for OCD that has been validated with brain scan studies.

    Try natural supplements and Nootropics.

They both have helped me greatly.

After today, you can ask about those subjects on reddit, or do research online.

    Good luck.

    Things will get better.
