Does it annoy you when people partake superfluous words trying to sound smart?
And they even use them incorrectly?

Best answer could’ve been anyone, but I went with Mr. Anonymous who so clearly got the joke.
BTW, “superfluous” means “far beyond what is required or needed.” (And partake was intentionally misused)

Sometimes. I was watching someone speak in an informational video, and she kept using the phrase "de rigueur."
We get it. You learned a new phrase and now you have to let everyone know. lol
It made her sound like a child.
