What makes your pet's life more valuable than a chicken's or pig's life?

I do not eat any meat because I believe all life forms are equal.

Having said that,I feed my pets meat because that is their natural food.

One very important thing is the quality of life that any animal lives.If you read about the dairy industry, you'll realize it's very cruel. Calves are denied milk so that people can drink it. I personally believe keeping animals free of suffering.

No, not double standards at all. Way back in human history, our species began to domesticate other species to work for us or feed us.  Dogs and cats have been used for food animals by many cultures over the ages, but currently in western society, dogs are working or companion animals, and cats are companion animals and rodent controllers. Cows pigs sheep chickens ducks geese horses and other live stock animals are raised for feeding us, except horses. Some cultures still eat horses too though.

It isn't more valuable. Every living creature is born equal including plants

There are people who doesn't eat meat. I don't like killing innocent animals for food.

I absolutely do have a double standard when it comes to animals. It's perfectly normal for anyone who has a pet. FYI, I don't kill animals to eat them. Someone else does that for me.

CUZ PEOPLE eat pigs and chickens...people dont eat dogs and cats.
