Wifi Adapter Not Working?

Question

I have the tp link AV600 power line starter kit, and they have been working great for almost the past year. Today they just stopped working and it says they’re connected to my router but my PC has no internet. I’ve tried everything, resetting them, unplugging them and my router, and other things and my computer just won’t connect. Anyone have any ideas? I’m desperate!!

things to try

open command line (run then cmd)
type

ping 192.168.0.1or whatever your routers IP address isipconfig on that command line will tell you that (gateway address)it  you get responses, then the powerline thing works fine.  So does your network card.
Another thing to try.

Turn off modem
turn off router.
turn on modem
when modem lights settle down, turn on routerDoes it work now?

Anything else on the network?  Does that have network connectivity?

Are the modem lights in their normal configuration?

Connect a computer directly to the modem.  turn off both.  Turn on modem. Turn on computer.  Now does it work?  If not, replace modem.If so, connect a computer directly to the modem.  Does that connect?  try another router. If you need to replace modem, if you are renting it from the ISP, BUY YOUR OWN.  Then when you do, buy one on the ISP's list (your local Best Buy knows that list).  Buy the one with the most down channels and the most up channels.  The more channels, the better your odds of getting the best speed.If you need to replace the router, get a GOOD quality WiFi 6 router (couple hundred bucks here).  Make sure it will autoupdate the firmware as hackers are hacking routers a lot these days.  I like Asus for this.

Remove the network adapter from Device Manager and then reboot. windows will 'find' the adapter again and reinstall the driver.
