3 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoclearly no one wants to win the league this season, but someone has to, so who will it be?
Man Utd and Liverpool both lost yesterday and Chelsea losing today. This league has gone all strange on us. With no team in the league being able to show the remotest bit of consistency who do you think will finally take the title this season?
The candidates include Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Spurs, Man City, Birmingham, Liverpool and Fulham.
I know one team in there looks a bit ridiculous but never count anyone out. Liverpool could theoretically still win the league!
My money (all £10 of it) is on Aston Villa. They are the only side in the top half (with the exception of Birmingham) who are actually showing signs of improvement and winning consistently.

7 AnswersOther - Sports1 decade agoare there any good savings accounts out there?
I have a couple of grand to save but have no idea where to put it. My bank (HSBC) advised me that the best place was a tax free cash ISA which was offering 1.75% interest.
Now i know the base rate is only at 0.5% so amazing deals aren't likely but i'm sure there must be something better than this. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

4 AnswersEnglish Football1 decade agoWhat ever happened to Golden Grahams?
I was perusing the isles in my local supermarket this evening trying to decide what cereals to get when It occurred to me that i hadn't had Golden Grahams in a long time, which i realised was odd as they were always one of my favourites. So off i go to the cereal isle to get them and to my shock they weren't there! i was most vexed by this but decided to continue my search in the nearby Tesco so off i went.
Alas Tesco was also lacking in the golden grahams i so desired. maybe i was just unlucky but now that i think about it i can't remember the last time i saw a box. Have they been discontinued? am i to live the rest of my days never again to enjoy the honeyey, wheaty flavour?
4 AnswersOther - Food & Drink1 decade agowhat was the point of the freeview retune?
I have just retuned my TV to find that now i get a very bad signal for Five and no longer get ITV3 or ITV4. What benefit are we supposed to be getting from this change? i'm now down to only being able to get 10 channels. Has anybody actually gained anything from whatever change they have made?
3 AnswersTiVO & DVRs1 decade agowhy are people scared of spiders?
I'm not talking about big, poisonous tarantulas but the pointless daddy long legs that we get in this country.
It seems illogical because i can't work out what about them could possible be scary, what do people think is going to happen if they are left in the room with them?
If someone can explain what is scary then maybe i will have a reason to stop picking them up and holding them in front of my housemate.
13 AnswersZoology1 decade agoAm i elligible for compensation from my airline?
I have just returned home from holiday in peru. On my way out i had two flights, one from london to new york and then another from new york to lima (peru). i unfortunately missed my 2nd flight on the way out because my first flight was over 1 hour late and i couldn't get through customs in time. I was automatically booked onto the next available flight the next day, however this meant a 24 hour stay in new york. My question is if continental should pay for the cost of the hotel? (i.e. do they have any legal obligations to do so?). Both flights were continental airways flights so it is their fault that i missed my flight.
If anyone has anny experience of something like this their advice would be much appreciated.
muchos gracias
6 AnswersAir Travel1 decade agowhy is food shopping so difficult?
It should be the easiest thing in the world. You decide what you want to eat, go to the shop, and buy it.
However for some reason i always fail in this simplest of tasks to buy what i intended. it's like the shop has some sort of hold over me. Today i went to simply buy some bread, mushrooms, milk and beer and i some how ended up with Tuna, carrots, strawberries and milk.
I don't know how this happened, i saw the strawberries and tuna reduced so bought them and in my head that was 2 down and 2 to go, one of which i knew was milk the other a vegetable of some sort.
Am i the only one with this problem? or are there other freaks like me who can't shop properly?
