Moved to Spain in 1991, but been a few places in between. Best holiday Dominican Republic. Enjoy reading, travel, meeting people and boot sales (not good enough in Spain though) Love to drive, enjoy good food, and waiting till I win the lottery when I will travel the world for good! (Cosmic Ordering worked for Noel Edmunds, so I'm trying.) ha! ha!

  • tv programmes regarding benefit cheats, illegals immigrants, etc. Why?

What is the real purpose of insighting animosity with the British taxpayer by making and showing tv programmes that highlight the very problems we have in this country that make people even madder and against these people?

We are all upset with the Government for allowing these problems to continue, so why make things worse??

    Your sensible views please

  • Why do alot of ads on tv have bi racial couples?

Why do they seem to subliminally push the fact of bi racial couples in alot of tv ads? If it's not a black and white couple its an asian and white couple. etc., Do they think we are more accepting if we see it on tv??

I really have no objection to anyone of any race being in a loving relarionship. It's just curious that they see it needs constant confirmation.

I bet there is no other country in the world that does this, is there??

  • Bit of a cheek Unicef ad on tv?

Just saw the usual ad pleading for people in Syria etc that winter is setting in and they will need blankets and supplies cos its cold.....

Don't they think its a little like rubbing salt in the wound for all those people in the UK that have been flooded out, lost their homes and have had NO help from the Government that gives millions of aid to foreign countries??

I think whilst it is a shame for these foreign plights, in this case charity definately begins at home now!!!

Thanks to the local people the ONLY help we have all had is from friends, neighbours and firemen etc none from Government although oh yes Cameron said "money is no object" dont hold your breath on that one

  • Problem to solve please?

you see a t shirt for £97, but you have no money

so you borrow £50 from mum

£50 from dad and go and buy the t shirt.

You get £3 change, so you give your mum £1, you give your dad £1 and you keep £1.

You now owe your mum £49, you owe your dad £49 thats £98, plus your £1.....£99....

where an earth has the other £1 gone???

  • why are the government allowing?

more and more betting shops, loan companies, cash converters, off licenses, amusement arcades/casino slot shops, online bingo, and the like to grow and expand continuously in poorer areas??

Whilst they make bold statements and try and apease us all by saying they will cut benefits and get people back to work, they do nothing to stop these kind of places that encourage people who have time on their hands to get into debt and spend money.

Most local councils encourage more and more of these premises to open up all over the impoverished areas of this country.

Seems like a master plan to me to keep the lower paid in debt and forever with their heads buried firmly in the sand.....whilst the Government have their own agenda that's for sure.

Some of us that live in quite decent areas but that are struggling to maintain a reasonable standard of living....are being bombarded by these places that actively encourage the wrong types. This is not acceptable and something most of us do not want.

We now have several bingo ads on tv telling us "spend £10 and we will give you £30....." Im so fed up with this, and something must be done by central government to curb these things now!
