  • Should smartie production be moved abroad?

Nestle are moving ALL smartie production abroad and shutting down part of their biggest UK factory in York. When they bought out Rowntree they promised to keep British confectionary alive. I think getting rid of the old tubes was bad enough - I once had a race with a friend to see who could collect the whole alphabet in the plastic tops - but our smarties are all going to be made in Germany. Nestle aren't exactly the most conscientious company to begin with...maybe we should boycott them?

  • Am I the only person to be gutted the log flume's gone at Blackpool Pleasure Beach?

Is it an age thing? Do younger people really not like getting wet on a big dipper type ride? Why did they close it? I used to love going on as a kid with my parents and find it hilarious when they got wet. And in my teens and older I still found it hilarious that someone would be moaning about getting wet from the ride - why go on if you didn't want to I used to wonder? I don't think they should have closed it - are they just running out of space and will gradually close all the older rides down for new ones that last for five minutes? What do you think?

  • Should Blair have apologised on behalf of the Labour Party?

He started off today by apologising on behalf of the Labour Party. Whilst he is indeed the leader of the Labour Party he hasn't exactly entered into detailed dialogue with ordinary party members about his proposed departure at some point before the next General Election so should he have decided to take it upon himself to apologise on behalf of ordinary members of the party? I'm interested in knowing people's GENUINE views on this point - not what you think of Blair as PM, or whether you think he should stay or go.

Do you see it as an apology for party members' individual actions, or an attempt to take responsibility for the party airing its dirty laundry so publicly?
