I like messing with computers, so that's naturally how I get all this information......... Okay, maybe some books and Internet articles too. so I have a mix of personal experience, and reading, which builds up most of my knowledge. If anyone sees that any of my answers are incorrect, or not updated, please correct me at any time. BUT that doesn't mean you can do it in a rude fashion :P My interests are not limited to computers and technology, and electronics. I also like anime/manga styles of art(which I am still learning how to draw better, but still decent pics), music(studying how to make remixes by myself, and composing my own music), and science.

  • Replacement 2.5mm jack for the TI-83 Plus?

My TI-83 Plus is currently without a 2.5mm jack - it's completely broken off the circuit board (but the soldering points are still there), and in pieces. Is there a place that I can get a replacement jack for it so I can solder it back on?

  • "Where are you from" Usage?

does this phrase strictly ask the person who you're asking his/her nationality, or can it be also used for asking where this person live?

Just wondering, because I have used it several times and used it for either purpose, and someone just asked this question.

  • Is it necessary to have a graphics card in order to run Ragnarok Online on Wine?

I tried playing the game using the following specs:

Machine: Dell Dimension L Series Desktop

    Current Graphics: Intel Integrated Graphics

Current Operating System: Debian Etch 4.0

    CPU & Speed: Intel Pentium 3 @ 1.000 GHz

    Hard Drive: 160GB

    RAM: 128MB

using Wine 1.1.1. The game starts out slow, and in the end result, the game just crashed on me, with my character and stats incompletely loaded. Would I have to get a PCI graphics card for it?

Additional Details: I cannot get another computer because of very limited budget and this is the one I'm trying to use more often.

  • How to install/configure input methods for Debian Etch?

I tried installing some of them, but it never appeared on the list of input methods. I installed canna, scim-canna, scim-chewing, and all other scim packages, using apt-get. is there a proper way, or a alternate way that I can install or configure the input methods so they can be usable?

  • Bug: Is It a Tick?

There is this type of bug that I see commonly at work. I usually see them dead all over the place. it sort of looks like a tick, but with a round body. the body appears brownish-red transparent when I held one in the light. At first, it appeared to be a spider to me. Anyone have a clue to which type of insect/bug it could be?

  • Anyone know where I can find resources or tutorials on how to set up clusters?

I want to know on how to make desktop clusters. Anyone know where I can find an easy way to set up a cluster? And one question: Does it only work with systems that have the same type of motherboard, chipset, and CPU, or can it be done with different types of computers? I know I have to find a Linux distribution that supports clusters, can anyone also recommend such a distribution?
