Buy property outright with personal loan?
A friend of mine may soon have the posibility of buying his housing association flat for around £20-25000. He's thinking about taking a personal loan out to do it rather than apply for a mortgage. Are there any legal implications of doing this?

5 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)7 years ago1998 Renault Clio wont start?
Bought an old '98 Renault Clio Grande 1.2 R.N for £350 about a month ago. Was MOT'd before I bought it and passed. Now the car wont start. It ticks over when I turn the key but nothing. An amber warning light on the dash which looks like a heart monitor comes up but as I don't have the manual I don't have a clue what it means. Any help from anybody who has or had one of these. Cheers.

I have recently just bought a Sony Xperia S but a found that I have a problem. Im currently on a Sim-only Virgin mobile deal and I know that they dont support micro sims at the moment but cut the sim to the size of a micro sim and hoped that it would work when I put it into my new phone. Unfortunately it does not and I cant use the sim back in my old phone using an adaptor. None of the chip has been damaged as I was very careful. Could anybody help? thanks
2 AnswersMobile Phones & Plans9 years agoCar Insurance Renewal?
I currently have a 8 years no claims bonus and I am due to renew my car insurance at the end of this month. The quote is £520. However as the current value of my car is about £900-1000 and I only do about 3000 miles a year, I dont think its worth insuring this car for this year and plan to get rid of it. I plan to get a newer car next year or the year after. If I dont renew my car insurance this year and say there was a gap of 1 year or 2 between renewals, would I lose all of the benefit of my 8 years no claims? Would i have to start from 0 years no claims again? Any body help? Cheers!

Under the Rent a Room Scheme, you are able to earn up to £4250 tax-free from a lodger(s) renting a room. Even though you are not liable to pay tax, do you still have to declare this additional income on tax forms?
