  • Where in Bangalore do we get decent meals for Rs. 100 max, taxes and service charges inclusive?

    Please note:

    1. It should be a decent restaurant. Need not be 5-star or deluxe one, but it should not be a roadside dhaba or thela (hand drawn or Maruti) as well.

    2. The food should be decent one, need not be malai kofta or butter paneer/ch, but not dal roti either.

    3. Ambiance should be decent and hygienic.

    4. Preferably around Airport Road (Yelahanka/Jakkur/Sahakara Nagar etc). But one can also mention elsewhere.

    5. Service time around 5-10 minutes.

    Also note:

    1. McDonalds and Subway offer meals, but they are always more than Rs. 100, which cannot be afforded on daily basis. Also, eating daily in these places is not recommended.

    2. You may get even for less than Rs. 100 in some roadside restaurants, but they are not hygienic, and ambiance is poor.

The current situation is such that I need to have it outside most of the times for about a month.

  • should security guards at atm be well versed in martial arts and/or be well built?

After the attack on a woman at ATM in Bangalore which had no security guard, I think that merely employing security guard is insufficient, but also that the security guard should know how to combat goondas. Of course, the guard must be armed as well. Besides this, all branches should have the facility to view the nearby atm cctv footage 24 X 7 and if they sense any crisis, other security guards from nearby branches must rush to the affected atm.

  • Why are all the Internet Connection in India Bullshit?

Yes, whether it is BNSL or Tata Indicom, all are scrappy and slow. One cannot see a youtube and dailymotion video without buffering even at 240p.

On the contrary, in other countries in Europe and in the US, there is no buffering at all (or extremely rare), even at 360p. And they get 17-20 mbps at home, and that too for only around $ 100 per month. In India, nobody even claim to give more than 4 mpbs, (theoretically).

  • Where in Geneva do you find free public toilets?

I am basically from India, and have come to Switzerland for a short time. I was in Geneva a few days ago, and was there for 3 hours or so. As it is known that relieving oneself on the streets in Europe, USA or Japan attracts heavy fines (unlike in India), it was difficult to find a public toilet anywhere. Finally, I found one (near the railway station), but to my utter dismay, they charged 1.50 CHF, which is too much, just for relieving oneself (legally). Being an Indian, I may not be in a position to spend so much money for this everytime, with limited resources.

Could anybody tell me where can one relieve oneself for either free or for less than 0.5 CHF.

  • Where in India is the Red Panda found?

Red Panda is an endanged species, I suppose. Earlier I thought that it is not found in India, but according to Amitabh Bachchan (in KBC, August 25th 2011), it is found somewhere in India. No mention was made about where.

  • Why are All Indian Politicians Corrupt?

Of late, some of the examples are:

    1. Suresh Kalmadi.

    2. A. Raja.

    3. Yediyurappa.

    4. M. Karunanidhi & Kannimozhi.

    5. Mamta Bannerjee.

    6. Dayanidhi Maran.

    7. Mayawati.

    8. S. M. Krishna.

    9. Shashi Taroor.

... and the list goes on endlessly. Of course, one cannot forget Laloo & Mulayam Yadavs, but the above mentioned ones are from the recent past.

And this is one of the reasons why India is still a Third World Country (because the black money recovered from these people could have easily educated and fed millions of illiterate & hungry Indians, and could have improved infrastructure like power, water and roads).

And now, as part, one of the MOST DIFFICULT QUESTION that is listed below:

NAME ONE (YES ONE) HONEST INDIAN POLITICIAN.

  • Why are IPL teams not giving preference to local players?

Yes, it is indeed pitiable to watch that there are hardly any local players in most of the team. E.g. No Bengalis in Kolkata Knight Riders, Only One Kannadiga in Royal Challengers Bangalore, only one Andhra Player in Deccan Chargers, only one Keralite in Kochi Tuskers on some occasions etc.

As the rule suggests that not more than 4 overseas players are allowed per side, should the rule also suggest that there should be atleast 3 local players per match.

Please check that 4 + 3 = 7, and that still leaves 4 places for Indian players from other states.

  • When will Indians be able to enjoy delicious and nutritious food again?

    I mean, the AAM JANATHA.

With onion prices touching Rs. 50/- per kg, and garlic prices touching Rs. 300/- per kg, most people have already restricted buying these vegetables. Moreover, the prices are only indicative and vary from time to time and place to place.

There are even indications that some of these prices are among the highest in the world, or higher than in most of the countries.

    When will the prices stabilize?

  • Is India one of the most corrupt country in the World?

Courtesy A. Raja, Suresh Kalmadi and Yeddi.

The amount of money they have accumulated is so huge that if these people hadn't been corrupt, then many big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore etc would have had clean, pothole-free, well-lit streets with no traffic congestion. And all villages would have got electricity and health care facilities.

  • Why are some people bursting crackers now, although Diwali is a long way away?

Bursting crackers is causing too much noise, which is unbearable. I can become deaf.

During Diwali and nearby days, ofcourse, I go to some open spaces, where there is nobody, yes, NOBODY, within the radius of 50 meters, and sit there for hours until the cracker bursting ceases in the city. Or I take a train, preferably express or superfast and go to some place, and return because train mostly passes through uninhabited place, and express/superfast trains dont stop often.

If this is the case now, how am I going to escape from being deaf?

    I mean the original.

I mean the song sung by LATA MANGESHKAR and not by DJ DOLL.

I mean the song picturised on ASHA PAREKH and not on AYESHA TAKIA.

  • Which is the shortest route from Banaswadi to Airport?

Actually I took the route via Horamavu-Agara, to reach the Hennur-Bagalur Road, then I went to Kothanur, and followed the route towards the BIA (as directions were given). Thereafter, on the underpass, I turned right till the dead end, then turned left, to reach Bagalur Cross.

The distance I suppose was 35 km, about 1 1/2 km shorter than going via Ring Road Hebbal-Yelahanka.

    Is there any shorter route?

  • At last, VVS Laxman has found his form back. Will he play for India in the 2011 World Cup?

The fact is that, he has never played for India in the World Cup till date. Being a big fan of his, I am indeed elated by the way he played a matchwinning innings against Sri Lanka. If he continues this way, and is consistent, I feel that he should play in the 2011 World Cup.

    Your opinions please

  • After a dream run, did Germany play Below Par Football?

Well, after their performance against Australia, England, and especially Argentina, nobody thought that they would lose to Spain, who were not expected to go this far. (In fact, both the finalists werent expected to achieve this milestone)
