should security guards at atm be well versed in martial arts and/or be well built?
After the attack on a woman at ATM in Bangalore which had no security guard, I think that merely employing security guard is insufficient, but also that the security guard should know how to combat goondas. Of course, the guard must be armed as well. Besides this, all branches should have the facility to view the nearby atm cctv footage 24 X 7 and if they sense any crisis, other security guards from nearby branches must rush to the affected atm.

They should post black-cat commandos to man the ATMs!
Idiots, the government is washing off their hands of their responsibility to maintain law and order and putting the onus on banks!

I am so sorry to hear of a country so insecure that it needs guards at ATM machines. Manila uses guards with AK guns.
Sorry to say, but I am sure glad not to live where you are.
