I genuinely have no idea and I assume I must be in the minority because no-one says to the politician mid-speech:  "hey, what on earth does that mean?"

As early voting begins in earnest, the rules for when you can vote, where you can vote and how you can vote vary enormously from State to State and even (in some places) county by county.

There is considerable concern that some States are using voting rules to favour their party candidate.

Voting is a constitutionally protected right.

Shouldn't the Federal Govt step in and mandate national voting rules so that each State must play by the same rules and removes the ability to 'queer the pitch' for one candidate or another?

Is there a minimum percentage of the original car that need to be in the finished restored example?

If every single part is replaced/recreated (because it's a very valuable or rare automobile) then it's simply a re-creation.

Does the original chassis have to survive? Or some other part?

Is there a percentage? I've always been curious and I'd welcome any informed answers.

Whether he believes in it or not, what is this exactly?

Does it mean America believes is better than everywhere else?

Is it a good thing? Does it have any negative aspects?

It's not a phrase I've come across before but it was used in such a way that the speaker assumed everyone hearing him would automatically know what he meant by the phrase.

In an effort to get local Muslims to commit crimes, the FBI planted a former criminal posing as a Muslim in a mosque, apparently to incite violence. However, his radical extremist views resulted in the Mosque taking out a restraining order against him.

How do these tactics reflect on the FBI and their apparent world-view?

Now the police may have had good cause to look at his computer, but suppose you just didn't want the police trawling through your hard drive because you had stuff on there which was private or embarrassing or even compromising - but not illegal.

Perhaps details of a demo you are organising, or your mistress' candid photos or a log of police misconduct.

The offence is failing to give the password, not having bad stuff on your computer.

Isn't this power open to arbitrary abuse?

Is the selection of TP candidates a boost to conservative activism from which the GOP will benefit; or a millstone of crackpots and nut-jobs which will drive moderate voters into the arms of the Democrats?

Is this a fair comparison? Can President Obama's policies be said to be the same or similar to those of two of the world's greatest mass murderers?

The private medical insurance providers and the NHS both operate in the UK.

So what's so terrible about what every other Western democracy has, that parts of the US doesn't want?

Is it at all relevant that no country has opted to abandon universal healthcare in favour of the US model?

Is it at all relevant that not a single UK party - from the extreme right to the loony left, advocates abolishing or even restricting the NHS?

This is a genuine enquiry for factual information. Pithy one-liners can pith off.

In the UK, the Prime Minister and Leader of the Opposition are both the respective leaders of their party. So the head of government (ignoring the monarch) is also always the leader of the governing political party.

So, I'm failry sure (but stand to be corrected) that Obama and Bush are not their respective party leaders.

So who is, and what position do they hold?
