I updated a website of mine and I am not sure what I have done wrong.

I have designed mnay websites but if you type ELMATHS in google then it says INDEX OF/ for the title and the description it says: css/ 08-Jul-2009 23:08 - [DIR] images/ 08-Jul-2009 23:08 - [DIR] wddd.co.uk/ 21-Jul-2009 12:50 -. Apache/1.3.27 Server at www.elmaths.co.uk Port 80.

Why is this happening? It is frustraiting me so much and have google the problem but no luck.

I booked a holiday to a cottage with my family for a week. I paid £25 pound, the low deposit to secure the cottage. Before the whole payment was due I received a start date from the police (as there has been a huge recruitment freeze) and had to cancel. I told them as soon as I knew, cancelled the cottage and they have already booked it out to another family.

I have received letters about owing them a cancellation fee. It clearly states in the the terms and conditions that 'Under your contract with the Owner, in order to qualify for a refund your reason for cancelling must be one of the following.......your presence is requested by the Police'.

They are aruging that I have to already be in the police for this statement to count. However I have been asked to start and I can not take holiday when I wish due to training. Also where it has taken to long to get into the police I can not call my start date off.

What do you think? Do I have a leg to stand on. My feeling is that they twist their terms and conditions when they feel fit to do so. They also mentioned in the letter that I would be paying my court fees?! I thought thay had to pay if they were to take me to court????

I copied some coding from a site that shows you step by step how to create a menu drop down list. When I opened the final example the internet page the website I was on was fine. I downloaded the code as HTML and also saved the Javascript code but when I open up the saved verson it comes up with 'To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls that could access your computer, click here for more options'. Why has it come up with this? If i upload the coding so it is online would this not appear? Or is it because I have downloaded it it appears? I am not fussed if it only appears on my computer but will it appear on all computers? I am not sure how to get rid of it.

Hello I have had a car sticker made. It was much large than expected (nearly A3) and I just wondered if I was allowed to put it in the rear windscreen? It is see through but just has a logo and some writing on it. I live in the UK by the way.

Ok I have three tables: Subcategories (e.g. sports, activities) Signposts (e.g. Badminton lessons, karate club etc) and Signlink. Because one signpost can be under many subcategories that is why I have added a signlink table.

I am trying to get all of the signposts relevant to the subcategy the user has clicked on

I have asked it to get all of the signpost id's from the signlink table that has the specific subcategory id. I then named the following...

$signpostid = $row["signpostid"];

Finally all I wanted to do was get the signposts with those id's and put it in title order.

What am I doing wrong as it is not coming up in alphabetical order!!!! It is driving me nuts...

I am trying to get off the ground with website designing. I had a potential client in line and met up with her to discuss a website. They already have one up and running but it is so badly made that they wanted a complete refurb. I put together a design and layouts of some pages that could be designed. She was very pleased with them but has put me on hold with the job due to funding, also the family member that originally designed the current site is modifying it. It needs a complete revamp to be honist but that is their choice. Anyhow I am concerned that the web designer (the family member) will use my designs that I sent to my potential client.

Have I got any grounds to stand on if they do? Due to the fact that I designed them does it automatically give me copyright rights etc.

Any advice would be great.

I would like to start up designing more websites for people. I am unsure on the web hosting and domain registering side of things. If for example I have 10 companies that need websites and I am designing them one for them each. Am I to register a different account name etc for the web hosting so that they keep up the payments etc after it is built or do I put it under my registered account name? This may sound a thick question but I am unsure.

If I am to keep them all under my account name then do I keep all of the website coding I have built until they have asked for it or still give it to them anyway?

I finished uni last year and have found it very hard to get a job. I applied for the police Jan 07 and I didnt take an industrial year at uni because this was my set career. I passed all stages first time and aiming to start around Nov 07. However due to finances etc my start date was Nov 08 and has now been posponed till Apr 08 due to finances. I have had a bad time in terms of jobs, degrees are very easy to come by these days and usually it is who you know not what you know in many cases. Anyhow how long is a piece of string? Three months on from nov 07, thought i'd start the police, then they told me it would be march time, this was ongoing until the present. I didnt get a job with heavy training due to this and now wish I did. Had a bad evening as I feel like I am not in routine and settled. Didnt help when my fiancee said I should have gone for a big job (everything is so black and white with him at times). I am temping at the mo and been to a few permanent job interviews, I am 22 and not had a good paid permanent job since uni. I feel I am out of routine and cant be on track. Had 4jobs this yr due to redundancy, not enjoying work in call centres (to keep me going). My financee and I have started saving for a house. I put on a stone in weight (usually weigh 9st) and typical of my fiancee he just said - well go for a run, everyone has got 20min on their hands. I work tiill 5.30and he finishes at 4, he rings me to see whats happening later, by this point I am still in the car going home. I need to cook dinner, he doesnt have to do this and I have bigger responsibilities at home due to mum being on her own, unlike him. Its just he thinks things are so easy to do. Where I am out of routine I am finding it hard to loose the stone. What can I do to get on track and feel so useless? I think I have just had a long day and having a down day. Please no stupid comments.

We get paid every laft friday of the month. All of the overtime we work that month we get paid too. This means I am meant to get paid on te 27th June.

Cutting a long story shoty I quit my place of work. I was in my 3 months probation period and I handed in my letter of reignation on the 24th and didnt return. My manager asked me my start date and I didnt understand why - this was through texting. The workplace is awful - so much health and safety, toliet has been broken for 4 weeks and still not properly fixed.

I gave my start date, this i believe is because i took 4 days holiday within this period and needed to work it out if i was able to get paid for it. He is so organised that he doesnt have my start date!!!!!! appalling.

Anyhow I asked him what was going on and he said that he'd sort it monday. Still nothing. I am owed 24days work and the overtime. Any suggestions? I have not done anything wrong and I am still awaiting payment into my account.

Hey there, Is there anyone else that finds facebook depressing? I dont know why but I always get the odd urge to log on, this is only like once every couple of days. Every time I do I just regret it. I dont know why but I just find it is an ego trip for people. Its like how many friends you can get, how many nights out you have been on, places you have visited etc. I always find that people chat on there that they wouldnt chat to normally in general life. Does anyone else find this?!

I know it is interesting to see how people are doing but also feel left out and/or just depressing.

I know that it is meant to be your dad I dont have one. I recently got engaged and iit dawned on me, who gives me away?! Does this mean it has to be my mum or can it be someone I have known very well. Any advice would be great.

I shave my legs prob every 3days. I find that as soon as i get out of the bath my legs sting and go all rashy. Also the hairs have grown through by the following morning. I look at other womens legs (yes I am straight lol) and see that they are so smooth and no stubble. I can't wax as it hurts so much but any suggestions.

I have used such a variety of razors and is do depressed about it as I want to show off mu legs once in a while. Please no snyd remarks.
