  • "Forget" or "Forgot"?

I still do not understand. So many people will be like "Oh, I forget". And it does not make sense to me. Like yeah, they forgot earlier, but then why does "forgot" even exist if no one can forget at the moment because then they wouldn't have forgotten?

  • What do you think about comparing the N word with witch(es)?

Just got me thinking, witches were a negative word and we dress up as them at Halloween. I think it is fine to say the word witches because it is part of history, BUT also many countries still accuse women (and maybe men idk) of being witches. But, we never use the n-word and I would like to know why we use the word witch (rarely I know, but it is common on Halloween). Like what is the comparison? Sorry if I sound ignorant and uneducated, it's because I am. No hate, please. Does anyone know what I mean?

  • How do I believe in God?

I want to believe in God fully and love him. It is hard when you grew up in a family that thinks it is weak to believe in a God and strayed me from my natural inclination towards him while only a few years old. I think I am an open-minded person and it makes me not believe in anything 100%, but I really want to.

  • What does an equilibrium shifting mean?

Equilibrium is like a state, right? A balanced state? And then does equilibrium shift when it needs to be balanced? And what does "equilibrium shifts to left" or " equilibrium shifts to right" mean? Like is that what happens for it to become balanced, by shifting? I still can't understand this, idk why.  When they say "shift to left" do they mean it shifts to reactants, right? I have something and it gives rules of stress/shift. It says "stress: add substance, shift: away from substance side". What does it mean?

  • Do you believe schools should have a limit to how much time students should have to stare at screens?

FURTHER: By screens I mean laptops and things. Especially with online school, I will be staring at a screen all day and my eyesight has been changing. I do not wear glasses, but I've noticed recently my eyes have been hurting and it is harder for me to see (maybe my vision is still fine). Even before online school, we had to have our laptops open or be looking at a screen for almost every class. I think we hear about kids staring at their phones too much, but not really this. I wish it was optional.

  • Why is HCl gas at room temp?

Why is it gas and not liquid. I learned that it is because it has weak hydrogen bonding and the molecules are not close enough to maintain the liquid state of matter. But, what makes it so? Where do you draw the line between a gas at room temperature and a liquid at room temperature? How could I figure this out to truly understand it?
