Do I tell my boyfriend that the flowers he gave me are ugly?
When my boyfriend came home last night he handed me the most hideous flowers. It was our 2 year anniversary and I know it is the thought that counts. We live together so I couldn't just throw them away.
Last year, I had him and his mother over to my mom's house for a "meet the moms" lunch. They brought the same flowers then. I thought it was just my bf's mother's poor taste. After they left, my mom could throw them out.
My bf knows my favorite flower is an orchid and gets me an orchid plant every year for valentines day.
So, do I suck it up and leave the flowers out for a few days or tell him. I can't imagine they cost that much but I'd rather him save the few bucks. The flower petals are dyed neon colors, I am not sure what kind of flower it is but kind of looks like a daisy.

4 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoAre there any honeysuckle beers?
I was out with my boyfriend at a brewery and we were looking at the descriptions of beers. One was made with flowers and he said he wouldn't drink a beer made of flowers unless it was honeysuckle. I've done a little research and can't find one yet. Are there any out there? If so, can it be found at bars in baltimore?
Thanks!
1 AnswerBeer, Wine & Spirits1 decade agobook recommendations - tragic hero?
I saw a trailer for the new movie Beastly and saw that it was also a book. Then I got to thinking that I really like stories with characters like the beast. I tried googling a few words but wasn't sure if tragic hero or tortured soul were the correct words. Think along the lines of the character Brian Kinney from Queer as Folk. When I did find list of books of characters with tragic flaws, most were during ancient times.
Does anyone know any modern retellings of stories or modern stories with this tragic/flawed/tortured type of character?
7 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoHow to group same albums together on ipod?
So I just got my first ipod. I took everything off my Zen and put it in my computer and added to itunes. When syncing the the ipod, it groups some albums together as they should be, but others have one entry for each song on the album. So, if I wanted to play the album, it will only let me play one song. I deleted everything from my ipod, fixed everything in itunes, then re-synced and this is still happening. How do I group albums together?
2 AnswersMusic & Music Players1 decade agoBreast reductions can be performed on teens?
Why do people keep saying that surgeons won't perform a breast reduction on girls if they are under 18?
Even if you can't prove it medically neccessary, surgeons will perform the surgery. You have money, they will take your money. I have 5 friends who had reductions at 16. I could find you a lot more if I asked around. I also know a lot of people who had reductions in their 20's and 30's. I had mine at 27.
So please stop telling these girls that they can't have a breast reduction if they are under 18. While it is better to wait until you are finished puberty, a surgeon will still perform the surgery.
2 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoMother's Day Brunch in New York?
I frequent NY alot for shows and shopping, but pretty much stay in the midtown/uptown areas for meals. For Mother's Day weekend I am taking my mom to NY. We love Sarabeths but want to try something new. Can anyone recommend a place for Mother's Day brunch? It doesn't have to be in midtown.
Thanks
1 AnswerNew York City1 decade agoIs it to early to have "the talk?"?
I met a guy in December. And we've been seeing each other since January. We did the deed, (in my opinion a little too early in the relationship) but all was good. He even brought me to his parents' home to meet his family for dinner last weekend.
My problem is, that I'd like to know his intentions and where he wants to go with this relationship. Sometimes I think he's serious about me and other times I think that he thinks it's just casual. I would like to ask him. But I don't want it to be too soon and scare him away.
Is it too soon to ask his intentions?

2 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoCentury bike rides in the UK?
I live in the U.S. and I just completed a 2 day, 150 mile bike ride. With lots of time to contemplate and chat, a question came up about riders in the UK. We call 100 miles a century and 63.2 miles a metric century. What about cyclists in the UK or other countries where the metric system is only used? What do they call a metric century or a 100 mile ride?
Thanks!

3 AnswersMovies1 decade agoHow long before a guy should ask you out?
I've been talking to a few guys over e-mail. I guess we are still in the getting to know you stage. It's been going on for a few weeks but I am ready for them to ask me out. In a sense, $hit or get off the pot. How long do guys normally wait before asking a girl out? I really don't want to give an ultimatum, but as they say, if it's too good to be true it usually is. At the same time, I don't want to waste my time either.
Suggestions?

I recently came back from Grand Cayman. And I started thinking where do people who live in resort towns in the Caribbean or any vacation hot spot go on vacation? Do they go to the beach when they have it right in front of them or do they just stay home and enjoy the gorgeous scenery?

3 AnswersDancing1 decade agoEver hear of a bus trip called Destination Unknown?
I went to see the Legwarmers perform and met a girl at the concert. She told me she was on this trip called Destination Unknown. You pay about $50 and basically you don't know where you are going until you get there. It's a night time bus trip with unlimited food and liquor/beer supplied on the bus. Has anyone ever heard of this? It sounds like such a neat thing to do. I've tried googling it a million different ways and can't come up with anything.
Help.
Thanks!

3 AnswersCommunity Service1 decade agoWhat is Andy Roddick's tennis friends name?
Either last year or the year before Roddick played and beat another American in on of the Grand Slam games. The guy was quite comical and I remember Andy and him had a little banter through the came. The guy said he was going to stop playing tennis but was possibly going to start being a tennis commentator.
What is his name?
What happened to him?
3 AnswersTennis1 decade agoAthletes and the Olympic village?
I've been searching for information on athletes and the olympic village and have not been able to find what I am looking for. Do athletes pay for room and board by themselves or with money from their sponsors or does the Olympics put them up? If they do pay, is it a flat fee or do they pay per night? Do athletes go home after they are finished competing or do they stay for closing ceremonies?
Any other information would be helpful about this topic.
Note: Please provide me links to Olympic sites that have this information or tell me what you know. Please don't make up an answer just to respond. I really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
