  • Why don't pro sports teams have captains?

High school sports teams have captions but college and pro teams usually don't.... why do you think that is?

Sorry if I'm wrong about this! Maybe I'm unaware of college/pro teams having captains or specific leaders on the team... Not really a sports person but just curious!

  • Should I date outside of my religion?

I am born and raised Christian - it's a huge part of my family's life. I've grown up with people telling me to date someone who is also Christian.

I recently started talking to a guy and while I'm really enjoying it, I can't quite tell if he's religious. Based on how he talks about his family and life, I don't think he is.

Should I continue pursuing this relationship at all? We're still just talking but if it eventually does become more serious, I don't want to spring it on him all of a sudden and waste both of our time.

A lot of Christians would say to date within the faith. But what about dating a non-believer and praying that they come into the faith? Or dating them and showing them what faith is like?

  • What are jobs in the military that don't require basic training/boot camp?

I really really really really want to serve my country. But I've never been good at any physically draining activities. What other jobs are out there for me? I've looked into being in the military judicial branch but I want to know if there are any other options. Thanks !

  • Should I participate in the National School Walkout in honor of the Parkland victims and protest of our government's lack of gun reform?

A bunch of kids at my school have started a Facebook group for ppl who want to participate in a National School Walkout next week. I'm not sure if I should do it. I want to honor those who were hurt in the tragedy as well as push for some sort of gun reform change. But, I am afraid that I will get in trouble with my school. Our school has recently upped safety standards and the principal expressed his opposition towards the protest. Any disciplinary action against me would go on my permanent record and hurt my chances of college acceptance in the future. Some universities have said that the protest would not affect admission. This only means that some universities feel the exact opposite. I am looking for genuine answers (not political promoters who troll online to start arguments) Thank you

  • Do I need to begin a new paragraph when writing dialogue during a flashback?

These are very important questions! I am writing a short story for a writing contest and need some help.

My flashback only includes one line of speaking. Do I need have to have a separate paragraph for this one line? Or can I just add it in and then go back to narrating my story?

    Much appreciated <3
