  • Mercedes approved oil?

I’m probably not using the correct terminology here but a mechanic told me

I MUST use Mercedes-approved oil not

just synthetic oil (which is what I have been using). He said this is especially true because mine has a turbo. Can someone tell me more? Google isn’t coming back with much.

  • Can intake manifold gasket affect thermostat? ?

I ask because I had a Mercedes mechanic run a diagnostic on my vehicle after Autozone told me my check engine light came back with a code for thermostat. Diagnostic test was complete and they said it was the intake manifold gasket.

  • Buttermilk mixed With regular milk?

I’ve seen 5 ways to make buttermilk. That’s fine. However, I’m more interested in knowing if it would be good or even preferable to mix regular (whole) milk with what’s left of my whole buttermilk to “stretch” the buttermilk? I’d assumed the regular milk would take on the properties/cultures of the remaining buttermilk after a certain amount of time, making it a better option than mixing lemon juice and milk or vinegar and milk. Thanks

Is “more additional” bad grammar? Example: Candidates would have an incentive to seek a recount in any state in which they thought the recount would give them more additional votes than their opponent.

  • Why have I never received the standard deduction amount?

Last year (2015) and this year's taxes both have the same standard deduction for a single person ($6,300), why have I never received this deduction? I do not itemize my taxes.

  • Want to download copy of facebook data.?

Went to account settings>general> and when I choose download data it says "archive now" like I don't have a copy of my data. Does this mean Facebook didn't have a copy of my data for me, but that I would only be able to download a copy of my data if I have knowingly came here and made an archive myself? I accidentally deleted some pictures I want back. Making an archive now and then downloading data wouldn't help me. lol

  • Insurance (umbrella policy)?

    On a quiz:

Rebecca has a $1 million personal umbrella policy with a $500 retained limit (deductible) for slander and defamation, and a personal auto policy (PAP) with a $500,000 limit. She is at fault in an auto accident that is settled for $600,000. How will this settlement amount be paid?

    A. The umbrella insurer will pay the entire $600,000 settlement because it is within the $1 umbrella limit.

    B. Rebecca will pay nothing, the PAP insurer will pay $500,000 and the umbrella insurer will pay $100,000.

    C. Rebecca will pay nothing, and the PAP insurer and umbrella insurer will both pay $300,000.

    D. Rebecca will pay $500, the PAP insurer will pay $500,000, and the umbrella insurer will pay $99,500.

What is the correct answer? I guess where I'm getting confused is when they say there is a $500 deductible for slander and defamation. That makes it sound like you only have to pay the deductible if slander or defamation took place. Thanks!

  • Is Nimbit a legitimate site?

Is Nimbit a legitimate site? I was using it as an alternative to songcast, because I've heard a few people say that the company reports that you've had no sales, but yet you have, and is pocketing the money. So, does anyone know if Nimbit is legit, or a scam similar to songcast?

  • How was the old testament canonized?

I need to know how the different books (manuscripts) of the old testament physically came together. The first books were written by Moses, but how did the other old testament books by Joshua, Samuel, etc. all get put in the same place (or what did happen to the books)? How did the authors know about each other and communicate in those times to meet or store books in one location for the future? Where did each person put their writings? The bible came from 40 authors over a span of 1500 years or so. I can understand how the new testament made it because the Jews already were following the canonized old testament books, and a church was established and could store and compile the new testament books. The physical compilation of the old testament is stumping me. Any help understanding would be great.

  • What works for stains on white clothing?

I don't know where people get off thinking that every common suggestion you see online works. Non-chlorine bleach does NOT work on brand new mild dirt stains or old perspiration stains, and neither does baking soda, white vinegar, regular bleach, borax, dawn dish washing liquid, lemon juice, or ammonia. I have even tried mixing baking soda and ammonia, to no avail. It frustrates me that every who asks how to get stains out of white clothing always gets one of the above as a suggested solution. I washed my new white denim shorts with some white socks. The dirt from the socks transferred onto the shorts and when I took them out of the washer the dirt would NOT come out with any of the products I mentioned. Does anyone have any NEW ideas that they've tried and work FOR REAL?

  • Why has the moon remained low in the sky tonight?

I have been enjoying the night sky a lot over the past few months. In January or February I noticed the moon would travel across the sky and be above my house or on the other side of the house right before I went to bed, which was in the very late night/early morning hours. Now, I look outside at 1 in the morning and the moon hasn't moved. Why?

  • 2004 Hyundai Tiburon 2.7L clutch problem.?

My clutch won't go into 1st or 2nd unless I pump the clutch. I have had two tranny shops diagnose it and they say the hydraulics are fine (slave and master cylinders fine, no loss of fluid). However, I have read about people experiencing my problem because of air being in the clutch hydraulic system. I've read that even when you have a new slave and master cylinder that the bleeder valve on the slave has oftentimes fixed the problem. I've also read that the master cylinder could be blowing past the seals, or have weak seals. Given my symptoms, what do you think may be the problem with my car, especially given that I've been told my hydraulics are fine and I have no loss of fluid? I had my clutch assembly replaced 8,000 miles ago and had my flywheel resurfaced at that time too.

    Thanks!
