  • is anthony gormley, a genius or just another artist cashing in on the bandwagon of self promotion?

since maggies days of self interest above all else, we have had a rash of artist exploiting this very human condition, tracy eminen, ect. my belief is that art should 1. inform. 2, pose a question. 3 educate. 4 delight. i actually enjoy gormleys work, but i have reservations about the fourth plinth, the concept is challenging only the logistical criteria. is a worth while exercise,we know nothing of the peoples lives who are standing for that hour, so rather than a calebration it is just another queue .

  • what is the point?

of asking a question, if you already know the answer.

I deleted a question i had posted for this very reason, i wanted some different opinions to my own,i was not asking for hard facts just a few well considered answers.Someone had asked a question that called for the repatriation of muslims from a country,I had stated that you cannot repatriate muslims from the country of thier birth nor are all muslims white, and if they believe in the freedoms of thier country then the most important freedom is one of religeous freedom, free from persecution to believe in whatever faith they choose or not to believe in any faith at all. As long as the laws of the society in which you dwell are upheld, it is this fine line

that some askers cannot distinguish the difference. Or they just ignore the point completely when you give them an honest opinion.

I do not have a problem with people who disagree with the pont of the question or my opinion, that is the nature of debate Regards LF

  • going back to the original question?

i asked do you fit your lives into your dreams or do you alter you life because or through the power of dreams,my take on this question because of the experiences i have had with dreams, ican go and dream about what i wish if i have a problem, ican say to my self i will sort that out when im asleep, the solution to the problem as never not presented itself to me, thats not the same as interpretating those semiotics within the dream to arrive at a answer to fit the situation. is any one able to do this, i dont believe for a minute that i am alone with this ability.
