So my wife and I have been married for 16 years. I got married when I was 34. We went out to dinner with a couple that we have only met once before. So we were getting to know each other. The topic came up of how they met which was through an online dating site. And they told some horror stories around that. I also had a horror story around meeting someone through an online site and told that story. Afterwards, my wife is really upset at me because I've never told her that story.

So I'm confused at why she's upset. I'm sure there are lots of stories that I've not told her. Some topics (like online dating) just don't come up. Can someone shed some light on this for me?

I was in Best Buy maybe 3 years ago and played this car racing game.

As you went around the track racing other cars, if you pressed a button at the appropriate time, you could do things like drop bombs from helicopters, set off containers on the side of the road, have overpasses fall in order to take out the other cars.

They were normal looking racecars and the tracks (at least what I played) were never off-roads.

Does anyone know the name of this game?

On Sheet 1, I have a cell with the name of a sheet in it. A1 = 'Sheet Blah'

I then want to reference a cell on "Sheet Blah" from Sheet 1 in B1

Like B1 would be ='Sheet Blah'!F14

But i want to use the cell which to me would be something like...

B1 would be &A1!F14 but this is not it.... anyone know the syntax ?

This is all I remember:

The song came out somewhere in the '96-'97 time frame.

It was a pop song.

It was a Canadian band.

The band was made up of young teenagers.

I believe there were at least 2 guys and 2 girls.

It was a light hearted song with fairly positive lyrics.

It was a "dance" type pop song (not techno).

In the video I remember them driving around on scooters.

The song did fairly well in Canadian markets (I doubt it was top 10 material though) but not necessarily in the U.S.

I think the name of the band was really short.

Unfortunately, that's all about I remember.

I believe it's from the 80s and I can't really remember what it's about but here's what I remember...

It's a teen romance movie and all the details I remember are from the ending. The ending involves a boy who goes on a date with the girl he thinks he likes. He takes her to an art museum after hours where there is a large portrait of her. He has a set of earrings for her but she doesn't take them. He realizes that he is truly in love with his "tom-boy" best friend who drove him to the museum. She, of course, loves him but is trying to walk away from the scene. He chases after her and gives her the earrings. Of course, she accepts them.

The "tom-boy" girl has short cut blonde hair (if that helps).

Is it worth the time and money for a 5 yr old and his parents? Why or why not?

when your wife (in this instance) is really upset at you and can't control herself. She starts screaming, yelling, throws in a couple of very uncomplimentary names, insults and finally resorts to trying to find hurtful things to say.

What do you do or say right at that moment?

This happened to me and I was going over all of the different reactions that I could have done right at that moment. I was not about to join her in the lunacy of screaming and yelling. That's just immature. Yet, to listen to her seems like it endorses her method of communication. Yet, I don't want to ignore her because she's obviously upset.

So what should I have done?

In case your curious, I apologized and tried to give her a hug and that was flat out rejected with a couple of unpleasant comments. She then left the room and has been giving me the silent treatment for the last two days.

Or to the ladies.... what would you like your husband to do for you when you're sick that would make you feel special and loved?

For instance, she's sick with a cold and lying down. I've taken care of our child completely tonight and he's now asleep. I cooked dinner, cleaned it up, and made her a special drink for her throat. What else could I do?

I am going to be in Denver and I want to take my 4 year old to see a natural waterfall (Casa Bonita doesn't count). Does any one know the name of a waterfall that's close by?

Now this is a 4 year old so any small waterfall will do. I just need to be able to drive there. A 1 mile hike on a nature trail won't work (unless it's flat enough for me to carry him part way and easy for him to walk the rest).

The normal routine is that I drop our son off at daycare and call my wife to let her know how his morning has been (she goes to work earlier). However, this time, my cell phone died just as she picked up (she has call-display).

I stopped at the post office (which is right beside the pre-school) and drove to work (45 mins total). As I walked in the door, the phone was ringing. It was her.

She asked if I "hung up" on her. I explained that the battery died. She asked why I hadn't called her. I explained I just walked in the door.

I start asking her how her morning is, blah, blah, blah... when she interrupts and says she's still waiting for my apology.

I respond with "apology for what?".

She tells me that she has been worrying about what happened to me for 45 mins and that I should have been more sensitive and called as soon as I had an opportunity.

Therefore, I should apologize. She is now incredibly pissed off at me. I don't think I've been insensitive. Thoughts?

Or (for the women) what have you received in your stocking before?

My wife bought a larger stocking this year and I need a few ideas (under $15 would help). One can only put so many Christmas oranges in there.

I had arranged (with my wife) to have our 3 yr old have his hair cut. When I walked in, my barber was in a lot of pain and asked if the other barber could cut it (I've gone there for 7 years).

I didn't really know the other woman's work but given my son's hair was really long and we were already in the shop, I made an "executive decision" and agreed to have it done.

When I informed my wife (by phone), she gets really upset as to why I didn't ask her first. She then explains how particular she is about who handles our son.

I then apologized for not realizing how sensitive she was about his hair and will know better next time.

Then there's a long, long silence.

After which I (while remaining calm) get her to divulge that she's still not happy with my apology. So I give a full apology for getting her upset, took full responsibililty and added "what else can I do". She couldn't think of anything and changed the subject.

No forgiveness. She still won't forgive me. Thoughts?

My wife is a little naive sometimes. It's part of her charm...

My wife has a friend that is extremely negative and implants ideas that (in my eyes) causes unnecessary worry and fear.

He'll suggest that cheating is usually started through e-mail or online chatting.

So out of the blue, I get 20 questions about "who" this e-mail is from when some spam makes it through the firewall.

After the questions, I ask her what "that" was all about. Thus, I learn where she picks up her thoughts.

Needless to say, I find this guy annoying. This is just one example. Next, I will be asked to move the BBQ propane tank away from the house because they "can" explode.

Point being I want this guy out of our lives but she wants to keep him. She gives her reasons. I give mine.

But she decides that it's her call. I find this a little selfish so I respond with "then I won't attend any of her side family functions" if she continues.

Was this unloving or just making things equal?

My 3 /12 year old son wants to see Mars and I'm completely astronomy illiterate. I believe that it's supposed to be in the southeastern part of the sky (from Tampa, Fl) but that's all I know. It's partly cloudy but I see a big bright star/planet at about 30 degrees up from the horizon (where 90 is straight up). Is that it? Is it the brightest light in the sky?
