1 Answer1 month agoWhat can I do about masks going missing at school, has anyone else had this problem?
I send my kid (age 4) to school with a new pack of masks every month, all with his name on it. All the masks vanish and sometimes he'll come home wearing someone else's mask. Before long the teacher will start complaining that he doesn't have extra masks in his bag. It's starting to really tick me off.
3 Answers1 month agoWhat was the name of this safety 90s program?
I remember, in preschool/head start, we had outside people come in to teach us about safety--fire safety, stranger danger, medicine, and people touching you inappropriately [just to name a few]. They would come and would act out with these felt puppets and coloring pages. The main characters were a group of a few kids--a white girl, a black boy, and a spanish boy [I think his name was carlos]. I really thought this was a cute educational program and would love to find out its name. And I think there was this blue bird that was always there [a mascot/logo/something]. I really hope this helps. I am working on memories that are almost thirty years old.
Thank you!

I've already ruled out arts and crafts because it didn't work very well. I'm trying to elicit language and keep this kid engaged.

2 months agoQuitting my job to stay home with my child?
My child attends a daycare. I'm so worried about him lately I can't focus. At the daycare he sttends there is a playground with a broken fence. Even if it's not broken he could open the fence and get out. He's 2 almost 3. I've come to pick him up a few times and he's been in the parking lot running out alone. I partly blame the preschool for not having the fence repaired but it's also my son for not listening and staying inside. He's 2 though. I know there will be risks in any daycare but I can't seem to accept that my child might get hit by a car. Cars go fast at times in the parking lot, huge trucks and buses go through too faster than they should. Do you think this is enough for me to quit my job and stay home- it will be hard financially or do you think other solutions might exist?
