How much improvisation are the instrumentalists allowed to do when recording music?
How much say do the instrumentalists have in the composition of music (ex: background score)? Does the composer control every tiny bit of the process?

What is your favourite piece of classical music?
I have to go for the obvious, and say the 1812 Overture and Bolero, both absolutely epic, especially when you are watching a live orchestra.

Why are so many famous classical composers from Eastern Europe?
Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Handel, Chopin, and Brahms are all from either Germany, Austria, or Poland. Was there just a greater cultural emphasis on music? Or maybe some sort of famous music education center in that area? I feel like it isn’t coincidence that all of the most famous classical composers were born within a 300 mile radius of each other.

Beethoven or Bach?
Apparently your brainwaves are more agitated whenever you're listening Beethoven. Your brainwaves feel more relaxed when listening to Bach.

Been listening to the classical music Four Seasons - anyone got any other suggestions?
Favourite answer:Try some Mozart. You can't go wrong with Mozart, it's all pretty awesome.
If you want something a little different, try Gustav Holst, the Planets suite.
He was late 19th - early 20th century, and this is his most famous work, each movement is inspired by a planet, Mars, Jupiter, Mercury, etc. It's one of my favorites.

Do you listen to classical music?
Favourite answer:Every day - it is our career. When we are practicing, each of us can hear the other - unless we go to our own studios at opposite ends of the house, and close both doors. Then there is what we listen to for enjoyment, which also includes some jazz and other things. A lot of people assume that classical musicians listen ONLY to classical music - but that would be like a chef in an Italian restaurant, swearing to never eat Asian food, or BBQ.
