how do i change the way page breaks look on microsoft word 2000?

i.e change it from a row of dots so it looks like actual pages?

From the View menu, select Print Layout

point on the dotted line, till you see a pair of arrows pointing away from each other instead of the mouse cursor. Now, click. It should show you the white space again.
