Children's skiing in Canada?
What's the rules with regards helmets for children whilst skiing the "Big3" in Canada (i.e. Banff and Lake Louise areas)? Are they compulsory for under 12s or is that just for the ski school lessons?

Not quite sure what the rules are, but helmets are the smartest decision you could make, and are as important as skis and boots when it comes to ski gear. For small children, once they are comfortable, they will tear up the mountain. The will go fast and they will crash. For your own sake, buy them a helmet! That way, when they fly by and crash headfirst into the snow, you won't be as worried. Chances are they will pick themselves up and ski off and you will be grateful you bought the helmet.

Hopefully you and your kids wear helmets, that helps in any case! I´m on the slopes daily and wear 98% of the time my helmet and the backprotector.
So I say: Just take it and have fun in the snow!
